CISANET CONCERNED WITH STATE OF AFFAIRS IN THE AGRICULTURE SECTOR

Willie KalumulaThe Civil Society Agriculture Network (CISANET) has expressed concern with the state of affairs in the agriculture sector saying it is disheartening to note that the problem of hunger is ever increasing.

CISANET board chairperson Willie Kalamula on Wednesday observed that over the past 50 years Malawi has seen a lot of changes taking place in the agriculture sector. He said some have had a direct positive impact while others did not.

BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEE OF PARLIAMENT MEETS CISANET ON FISP COST

TamaniThe Budget and Finance Committee of Parliament on Wednesday dated the Civil Society Agriculture Network (CISANET) on whether the Farm Input Subsidy Programme (FISP) is adding value to the country amid the chaos that has characterised it over the past years.

The input from CISANET will help the committee contribute meaningfully to the National Budget set to be debated early September in the National Assembly, said committee chairperson Rhino Chiphiko.
